Seems like a drill, saw, or pressurized air machine of some type. Recorded from a construction site. It's loud, powerful, and definitely can be used in a cinematic score.

This morning i woke up to the sound of a city crew jackhammering concrete just outside my window. I grabbed my h2 and recorded for a while. This file is an edit of the full recording. It contains two bursts of jackhammering, one fairly short and one longer. The background noise is the sound of the air compressor. Toward the end the compressor is turned off and the last of the pressure is released by the jackhammer as it sort of "putters out". This last bit is a bit unique.

A piece of construction equipment moving earth. The vehicle runs on tracks, which you can hear along with the squeaky pulleys. Also the warning beeps as the machine backs up.

Cut up recording of moving a box of glass jars. Hardware used: zoom h5, rode nt-5software used: ocenaudio, reaper + plugins. Might be useful as a building block for layering or some sample-based synthesis.

Some sounds of blowing across the top of a glass bottle. Specifically a 33cl cider bottle. :-). Captured using a rode nt5 small-diaphragm condenser microphone and a zoom h5 recorder. Basic editing in ocenaudio, also applied some slight de-reverberation. I intend to record a proper version later on, including different articulations at various pitches. But that may take a while. In the meanwhile these samples might be useful for some sound design. One more thing. It's always nice to hear back from you. What projects did you use these sounds for?please let me know. ;-).

In the middle of a village is a waterconstruction going on. Workers open the street to get to a waterpipe. Here on freesound is a short version. The long version is on my yt channel world wide sound effects. I recorded with a zoom h1 last week.

Here are some recordings of some of my basic woodwork tools. I'll try and get better recordings in the future but i share a workshop and it is rarely quiet enough to get good recordings. All recordings are me working on a piece of 25mm thick walnut timber. Listening back has made me realise that all of these tools need sharpening!! :). The recordings are as follows:. 00:00 - 00:26stanley block plane fine shaving the edge of the timber. 00:28 - 01:33stanley 5m retractable tape measure, metal blade and plastic casing. Tape being wound out and drawn back in. 01:36 - 03:30milwaukee m12 battery drill. Trigger being pressed, chuck opening and closing and bits being changed. Drilling into timber. Driving screws into the timber and removing them again. 03:32 - 05:14lie nielsen crosscut tenon saw cutting across the grain of the timber. 05:17 - endgeneral purpose wood saw 'ripping' along the grain of the timber. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. People goes out to its balcony to make a cheerful applause in tribute for health workers mainly and other workers that maintain the society going on during quarentine days. Raindrops in a rainwater gutter which ends in plastic construction foil, depending on the angle of the foil it leads to a different pitch of the dropping.

Strange noise that emanated from a barn that was being built on the somerset/wiltshire border. Possibly created by the machine laying the flooring. Also wind, some distant traffic, birdsong.

This is a small construction kit - lightly processed for easy control and use. . . It´s based on these broken beat sounds and trip hop - and a bit jazzy from the choosen instruments. . . 165 bpm - the drumsamples are from a roality free libary. . .

A low, loud, ominous bell ringing sound. Actually, i just decreased the speed of a small service bell ringing, but it's surprisingly convincing!.

Short 7 second clip from a 120 minute recording on palm sunday in the city of warren, mi. This clip takes place about 30 minutes before sunrise, bird next to my recording chirps then flies off in-between condo buildings.

Orchestral-style piano melody laid over organ chorus. I laid a number of tracks from keyboard through audacity.

This is the sound of metal dock posts being driven in during maintenance at a marina in vancouver, canada. They pounded some of them a hundred times without out any obvious movement. This is a recording of seven consecutive hits. There is a lot of echo after each strike with the slight sound of rattling chains after each one.

We spent the afternoon at the ruins of the abandoned radarstation on the top of teufelsberg in berlin. It had been raining in the morning so inside the whole building there were different kind of drops to record. This is a binaural-recording. It sounds amazing with headphones.
