Wine glass, tuned with water, rubbed with wet finger in a circular motion to produce sustained tone. Recorded with olympus ls-10 (no zoom) in a small reverberating bathroom, edited in audacity to make a seamless loop. The whole pack intended to be used as a virtual instrument. Looking for tools in a tool box.

This is the sound produced by a voltmeter when it detects that there is electrical continuity. This tool is used at ubica lab (upf). Their research areas are enclosed within the general disciplines of ubiquitous computing, contextual intelligence and cognitive systems, using sensors and radiofrequency identificaiton (rfid).

Upper harmonics created by a jackhammer operated in wellington city, new zealand (jackhammer sounds filtered out). Jackhammer was clearing debris in the cbd after an earthquake. Recorded with a tascam dr-44wl.

I really enjoyed exetone studio's recording of a bell found here - https://freesound. Org/people/exotonestudio/sounds/416992/. I took this sample into melodyne and moved all of its frequencies into "c" range. This gets rid of harmonics and makes the sample well-suited to use as a musical instrument. I prefer the original sample for some purposes. Unprocessed, it has a richer sound. And i also truncated to get rid of a tricky bit i couldn't fix. And i combined stereo tracks into mono, since that works better for an instrument where one wants to control panning inside of a composition. So as a pure sound effect, i recommend the original. This version is just useful as an instrument.

Just some throat sound i made today for no reason. Looking for some remixers, and also if anyone can tell me what exactly is this type of throat sound called? it's not really a sygyt, or a tibetan drone, is there a specific name for this type of sound, please let me know.

Kalimba thumb piano - high c note.

Two sustained voice samples i subsequently pitch shifted and layered for an ambient work (to achieve an 80's choir pad effect). The key is almost in middle c, but slightly off. . . Because i can't sing. The second, lower voice sample was recorded extremely close to the mic to achieve clipping; i wanted to get a buzzy, boomy sound out of it.
