This is the sound of a kitchen drawer opening with forks, spoons and knives rattling around in it. Recorded in stereo with a mixpre3ii and a pair of clippy em272 microphones.

Wavefolded byinstruo athru plaits percussion. Bias modulated by øchd, folding by maths. Markers set in reaper (mono). Came across this by chance as i was just noodling with athru for the first time. Slapping a wooden desk with palms and made a simple percussion loop. It is already trimmed and looped, so you can immediately use it in your daw. Recorded with xperia phone, and then denoised, normalised. The sample is dry with no effects, so you can process it further to your liking.

The idiophone is one of my homemade weird instrument. It consists of a series of self-made instruments that i am reassembling and sampling, with commercial intent just for the expenses, and if it works, i'll sample the whole kitchen. . Bah. . . Just a few hand claps i layered, compressed, and added a touch of reverb. I use this sample in my own songs all the time. Just a nice layer to put under the backbeat, not a crazy, huge clap to use on its own. I'd love if you'd credit joshua scott or rjc studios if you use this sample, but don't sweat it if you don't. Quadruple finger snaps, recorded with a tlm 102. These are performed by alternately snapping with the ring and middle fingers of each hand. The snap samples are arranged from lowest spacing (all snaps happening at the same time) to highest (larger delay between individual finger snaps).

Whatamidoing is an experiment i did where i tried to run a drum machine through a multiosc synth, switching presets on the synth to change the sound. While it offered me brief entertainment, there's not much i have done with these sounds. Perhaps they will serve you better than i.

These are claps recorded by three people at the same time. The kind of soft but very fast clapping that you would put in a spanish flamenco song or (as it was the case for the session) an argentine folklore song (chacarera). Soft clap — very tight, soft hitshard clap — tight, hard hit. Soft group — a little less tight, sounds like many people, still softhard group — less tight, many people, hard hit. Soft supergroup — i put three takes of this at the same time (one l, one center, one r), some hits sounded better than others so i picked the ones that sounded the best. Soft hits. Hard supergroup — same three takes put together. Hard hits.
