This is the sound of the broken fan at the bathroom in my friends house. It sounds a lot like a cricket, but i can assure you it’s a machine- once again this was straight off my phone so sorry if the quality is pretty bad. I hope this can still be of use to you. You don’t need permission but i would like to know if anyone does use it, just for the sake of curiousity :).

Early morning, crossing the bay of biscay in a force ten gale, the whole cabin (high up in the ship) creates a symphony of sounds. Engine noise in the background, plus a cacophony of different stresses on the woodwork and fittings of the cabin.
Rattle snake hissing or shaking its tail at variable pitches. Recorded with the tascam dr-40 built-in microphones, processed in pro tools 10, bounced to a 48khz 24bit wav file.
A wooden frame screen door opening and closing with a rattle and bang. Recorded on my back porch with ambient sounds of the back yard. Recorded with an olympus pcm recorder.
This sound was recorded as foley to replace sound of taking christmas decorations from box. There is bunch of glasses (and wineglass) in a carton which were shuffled gentle. Recorded with nady tcm-1050 mic plugged in mbox mini.
Two-pole circuit breaker recorded held in my hand, also pressed against a wooden board for more resonance. And some rattling mechanical handling noises at the end. Useful as electrical switch click. 96 khz, 32-bit float. Tlm-103 mic straight into pro tools. The only processing is a mild gate. At least it has a good noise floor.
