Poking around in my grandmother's barn - building is approx 140 years old and filled with old tools, furniture and other random things. Recording consists of a lot of rusty metal scrapes and thumps, footsteps on old wood, doors etc. Recorded on a hand-held sony pcm-d50. I've edited out the worst of the wind and other artifacts of my sloppy recording technique, but there may be some still in there.

Glass bottle hit with a wooden guiro striker, close to the rim/neck. Sharp sound, a little harsh, but could be edited to fit without hurting eardrums too badly. Ibc cream soda bottle, cleaned, label removed, recorded on samson q2u.

An attempt to fill a request for the sound of rummaging through a wooden chest (trunk) filled with wooden toys. . . Tight mic placement for variation. Gear: zoom h6, xyh-6 x/y capsule (120 degree stereo image), rycote windjammer, mounted on a tripod, various wooden toys/items. Please feel free to leave feedback and ratings. Long recording of a wood cutting session with a small gas powered chainsaw from stihl. I removed conversation so there are some jumps between the wood cuttings. But to compose your own wood cutting scenery, i prefered to keep all the handling, pereparation of wood and different types of cuttings in the recording.
