Recording of a small wooden chest being quickly dragged across the floor. Could probably double as a wooden drawer without casters being opened. Close mic'd.
In my endeavour to upload my sound design projects to share it with this amazing community i recorded two slams of a wooden gavel on a wooden table. (the gear i used for these are an ssl xlogic alpha vhd pre and two neumann km184 microphones. ).
Made for a survival island demo i'm working on, this sound represents cutting down a clump of bamboo. The sound itself was made by layering different recordings of me dropping a chopstick on my desk.
Selected the 4th knock sound from https://freesound. Org/people/timmeh515/sounds/413293/and applied some eq magic by boosting at 5 frequencies guided by ear.
I've encountered fantasicly squeaky screws when putting together an mdf cabinet. The screws were driven with a scredriver into pre-puchend holes in an mdf panel. Recorded with zoom h1 at 96khz / 24-bit. Converted to flac using sox. No processing or editing was performed for maximum flexibility nad retaiging highest quality. Also out of laziness. Enjoy!.
This sound was made by wiggling one cutting board against another to create a sound of wood colliding each other when dropped as they touch the ground. This was recorded at the open window institute sound booth in centurion, south africa.
Wooden frog guiro held in a hand recorded with zoom h1 and roland cs-10m binaural earphones. Sound recorded in bedroom with door and windows shut. Recorded in 96khz and 24bit. Trimmed and normalized in flstudio, what made sound 32bit.
