I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. The soundscape at the bottom of the dried moat of arundel castle in late spring. There's a strong breeze running through the trees, crows calling, an aeroplane, a couple of flies buzz past. I was laying in the sunshine about 10 meters away, falling asleep :). Sound devices mixpre3 and rode svmx, bit of low cut applied (60hz, 12db/oct) and a small amount of higher frequency boost to compensate for the wind cut i had fitted.

I recording made near some woods of the wind ebbing and flowing on an unusually mild day in late november of 2013. What i find unique about this recording is a lone cricket calling out at various times of this recording. . . Makes for a nice, almost melancholy feeling. It is almost like the cricket is not quite ready to hide away for the winter and is taking advantage of a rare 70-degree november day to call out as if to say "hey, i'm still here, waiting. . . In the grass. ". With headphones on, works wonders in clearing your head. . . Recording made at 6:30 at night with my handy / zoom h4 n recorder using the internal microphones, and of course using a very very stout wind screen. Enjoy.

It's the sound of a subway train entering the station "frankfurter ring" in munich. It's a new type, modern subway train. You hear somebody walking towards a door pulling a trolley case. Doors open, announcement comes, doors close, train leaves.

Crackling chewinggum in a mouth of a child. More pouring out of the paperbag into the mouth at the middle of recording with chewing. Different mouth formants. Recorded with zoom h4n at 44,1 khz, 16 bit, stereo. Without compression. Only cut low end at about 500hz to take away a little bit of breathing and denoised some backgroundnoise for more direct sound.
