Late winter snow storm last night in the detroit area 3-3-23 around 9pm est. Was attempting to record thundersnow but by the time i found my batteries the thunder and lightning stopped. Threw my zoom h1n under a plastic cloths basket just incase the thunder started back up, but no luck. This is a short clip of the original hour long recording. You'll hear, sleet, snow & wind.

This is my second "stonerscape" that i've uploaded, the first being "creep jam". This atmosphere gives off a dark and brooding feel, my interpretation of what one may experience in a deep, suspended animation state. An abstract soundscape consisting of samples of birds, waterphones, and scraped piano strings, which have been digitally edited and manipulated in kontakt and bias peak after being recorded live to disk in logic.
Heavily processed sounds form the symbiotic waves module by pittsburgh modular. Filtered through the intellijel atlantis filter. Effects were minifooger chorus and occasionally strymon delay or flint. The name give a hint which oscillator model and processor were used.
I made this pad sound by starting with a traditional saw wave and mixing various effects together such as reverb and chorus. The wav file also has pre-defined loop points that can be used in samplers that support the functionality. Note: there is a slight static noise that is present when the sound is played through the freesound player on the website, however, the static is not present when played outside of the freesound audio player.
