A glissando that's perfect for sliding in and out (both sliding in and out for each sample have been added). A lot of cartoons use this particular sound. This sound was recorded by a very talented violin player that i know personally, and edited in audacity. I used the 'dolby on' app on my iphone to record it. These recordings correspond with some of my influences and hobbies of skateboarding, scuba diving, and camping. Studio recordings of handling a small metal mechanical device for foley purposes. Originally used to foley handling sounds of a tattoo machine, but could also be used for guns, surgical instruments etc. Recorded with an at-4047/sv large-diaphragm condenser mic. In this clip, i am handling the device, producing diverse clinks and ratcheting sounds.
