I used a single gunshot sound to make a classic gangster-movie machine gun sound. Can be easily looped.

Explosion sound created using a zoom h1 and tempering with metal fibers near the mic capsules. Added verb and pop compression for better flexibility. Fireworks recorded amidst the buildings of an apartment complex. Lowpassed around 1khz. Slightly expanded dynamic range. I cut as many incidental noises as i could hear on my headphones (cars, neighbors, etc) but there's still some residual hum from an electrical box that was nearby as well as wind. Another explosion i made using wavepad sound editor. This time i used compressed, muffled, and pitched down beer hiss (i used lots of beers and amplified them) and a few small metal parts and rocks. For the first part of the sound, the "bam" it does was mixed beer hiss and a punch i performed on some meat. The rest is just rocks and small metal parts, distorted, softened plus reverb. I used a shure beta 58a microphone to record all those.

Sounds like a laser going off, then a big rumbling explosion. Created in adobe audition using the generate tones to create a saw wave sweeping from 22khz to 20 hz, then reverbed and eq'd.
