Ever wandered through a spanish street market? the sound will be familiar to — very possibly all too familiar! this recording was made so close to the offending mechanical toy, that it has even picked up the noises of the mechanism itself. There is a small amount of background noise. Seemingly unnecessary period of silence included is the exact cause before the next outburst of squeaking. Set repeat function on your sound editor recording.

A toy bought for our golden retriever. It's a plush with a closed ball inside it. Inside the ball there is a speaker and a spinning motor that which makes the toy bounce. The motor being noisy, i locked it for the recording. Recorded with olympus ls-p4 onboard microphones.

It's a musical lamp i registered at a friend's house two years ago. It seems to be a headlamp, but i'm not quite sure anymore. As you guessed, it plays beethoven's song called "für elise".

Just an alert sound from my tamagotchi. It's a remake of the well-known 90s version.

This is a small jam i recorded myself on my diy spring reverb circuit i've built for a friend. It sounds really good with music. In this session, i've only used coninuous triangle/sine/square waveforms and jammed on my for pots: input gain,hp filter cutoff, feedback amount, output gain. I'm sorry if the recording clips sometimes, but there's a big dynamic so i couldnt see how much loud it was. Feel free to take it and use it for sampling or sound design layering.

A musical santa plush with old, half-used batteries that i recorded 16 years ago. Sorry for the loud sound, the bitrate and the sound quality. I thought the file would still be usable. I don't even remember the equipment used for the sound recording, i think it was an old caraoke microphone connected to a pc with the means at hand.

Low battery toy story toy speech line. Creates a creepy effect when the toy tries to execute its voice line with little to no battery.

I rubbed a couple of lego models together to make this sound. It sounds like a character is building a model, and the bricks click together like in a game.

A sputtery drum beat. The bass is from freesound, the snare is from a small chop of my fist hitting an oil drum, and the small breath that acts as percussion is from a children's toy. The hi-hats are from vinyl crackles and mistakes in other recordings, made to sound like the crackles themselves are making the music. 88 beats per minute. A tiny music box keychain from lutèce création, a french company that creates mechanisms for music boxes. The melody is tchaikovsky's swan lake.

I used audacity to record this sound with no editing. I used turtle beaches x12 to record. The sound was from an old antique wind-up toy mechanism (music box) that was made in japan. I covered the metal with my finger to change tone of the song. The song played on the music box was called "close to you". Recorded with lifecam hd3000 you can hear kids playing outside my window, the neighbors' stereo in the apartment next door, their air conditioner, their vacuum cleaner after they shut down the stereo, they're tromping around and hitting the walls, a few distant birds, and one toot of a train about to come into town. It's forbidden for them to blow the horn inside city limits.

Various sound effects from children's toys edited together. All are on a low quality speaker, but are usually unique. All spoken word sounds as well as specific things like laughs or animal sounds are in different sounds. They range from real sounds like cowbells and car horns to blings and ascending synth sounding noises for a correct answer.
