No concert shell available, they used live reinforced sound to mix and carry the sections, and this is the result. This is a stereo recording of a rather large waterfall. A sony pcm-d100 was placed just above and to the left of the waterfall on a stone piling.

This is a recording of a tram passing by. It was recorded with dpa-4017 and ambient ate-208 in a ms setup. The file is already decoded for stereo (l,r) listening. Recording device: sd-552.

Accidental feedback loop turned very eerie electronic effect. Recorded twice at random and then panned hard left and right. Sounds cool in stereo, or you can split up the two files.

Raindrops hitting my bedroom window. Recorded in carson, ca. Used a zoom h6 with the xy attachment and windscreen on, pressed mics against window for a contact recording. This was done in order to capture full resonance of the glass. (geotag is not at my actual address, but a nearby location. ).

My window air-conditioner on the fan setting. Fan turns on for a few secs and shuts off. Recorded on yeti usb microphone on the stereo setting. Microphone was placed about 6 inches from the unit, right below the top vents where the air comes out. Some very low frequency rumble was attenuated slightly.

For years i haven't uploaded any sounds except my news themes, (thanks to you for your nice comments and thousands of downloads)now i give you an impulse response i made to check how my mixes would sound on a typical living room audio setup (but listening with headphones). The chain: technics hifi-system, multi-cone speakers, audix reference microphone, focusrite preamps. To use it like intended, just load this file into a convolution plugin in your master insert. You'll hear your mix like sitting. . . Well. . . In my living room. It'll sound muffled to you, that's because i captured the ir and all the reflections with an omni-directional mic and i have thick curtains ;-dof course it can be used as a really, really nice and natural-sounding ambience ir, too. Use it as an aux-reverb).

This is a simple loop of me playing some nice triplet delay textures on guitar. This is a stereo file with 2 guitars panned on the right and left, playing the same pattern in different octaves, offering a nice atmosphere. This was recorded with a hagstrom f200p (awesome p90 style pickups) on a voxac15, using a boss dd7 for the delay and a beheringer reverb unit (yeah, i love the lo-fi sound of that cheap box!).

Ambience recording of a park recorded at 5am in the morning. Various birds chirping, trees rustling, wind gets stronger towards the end. Recorded outdoors in clear sunny and windy weather using a zoom h6 recorder. Audio was post processed to boost the audio.

Impulse response generated from field recordings of a parking garage. Recorded using an audio technica bp4029 m/s shotgun microphone into a zoom h4n recorder. This recording is part of a pack of impulse responses comparing different recording and post-processing techniques.
