I created this in sony acid with an ahh string from alchemy vst, the sequenced beat-like ahh's were created by knocking the volume on and (nearly) off to a sequence that sounds great over beats. In front of my desk in my room is a wood paneled wall with a cubbie. It's about a foot wide, 10 inches from top to bottom and maybe 7 inches deep. I'm just guessing. Around this cubbie is a border of wood. In the bottom right corner under the border i have jammed one end of an elastic string that used to have glitter on it. It's from a christmas box of chocolates my uncle sent me last year. I stand in front of this cubbie whose bottom is at chin height, (i'm only 5ft1in) so my arms are above my head as i pull this string across the cubbie up and to the left to the border on the top which acts as my only fret. The string is a few inches longer than the cubbie is wide, but when i pull it it gets longer so my hand is 3/4 along it's length as i pull back and forth across the border to tighten and loosen the string. No matter how hard i pull it never pops loose from it's mooring. This time the mic is sitting in the cubby so i get a much clearer and louder sound. When i stretch the string across the top it has a fairly long sustain, so i can play 4 notes on a single pluck.

A couple of whole notes played with a countryside sound recorded with music studio. Awesome sound to create country atmosphere.

Wrote/recorded a short song about popping zits at 140 bpm in ableton live 9:kontakt player used for the formaggio string sections. My vocals were recorded with a akg 214c mic into a scarlett 18i20. Nothing fancy just get it down. Lyrics "get me now from the skin below, won't you help me out? i am stuck inside"then reverb added to vocals. Percussion is ableton's "percussion 1" setting (wood, shake, cowbell, chimes). Additional notes:-15. 6 lufs integrated. -0. 9 db true peak max. Hope this helps and is useful for your next project. Rhythm with the light sound of strings and no melody. Might be good background music as it's not too demanding of attention.

Menu music loop. The loop has a japanese feel to it.

Light string sound without melody. Made with a keyboard improvisation midi, processed through virtual synth in music maker as acoustic guitar, disguised with reverb, delay, echo and fx phasing into something that sounds almost like a gypsy cimbalom.

This is some more edirol 'composing' this time using an arpeggiater and just really letting midi do its thing. I don't really remember how or why i composed this or what i used it for (if anything) but it's quite dramatic, isn't it?!.
