Recording 10" shellac discs released by polydor with "double-horn" logo, playing on the turntable called phonia on regular 78 rpm speed. Recorded with zoom h4 recorder with a stereo pair of microphones in an xy set. Recording is not cleaned, edited software audicity - normalization and gentle equalization.
This sounds or song was created through the help of vst's chords and pad created by me with ableton. Pre master; filter and chords. Master; compressor, eq, limiter.
Well. . . . . Field recording is a bit of a stretch this was recorded on my back porch in springfield mo usa in june of 2000. I used a minidisk and two pzm's and a home made spliter box that worked only if you never touched it. It was one in the morning to try and avoid most of the traffic. Rain starts about half way in. Enjoy.
The sound of a car engine idling i grabbed from an old video i recorded. It didn't perfectly loop so i copied the sound, reversed it, and put it after the original sound (making a ping pong effect).
