The sound of a small compact car rolling on a bumpy cobblestone road. You can hear some things vibrating and some loose screws. This audio was recorded with a zoom h5 inside a susuki alto in managua, nicaragua. Where did you use it?.
Another recording of me walking around my neighborhood using my cane. You can hear sounds of me hitting my cane against concrete, some off-distance humming of cars or planes descending overhead, and me hitting metal objects (i forgot what they were) with my cane. Also, crunching through leaves and other tree branches.
There's always that one loud person on the street who wants everyone to hear him, and i found him while walking across houston street, new york city. Includes street noise and loud siren. Also edited for a little loudness.
Recording of a passing car in hervanta, tampere, finland on a slightly windy afternoon (around 14-16 pm) while standing on a sidewalk. The purpose of the recording is project work for the course comp. Sgn. 120-2022-2023-1 introduction to audio processing. This recording was taken in the edinburgh cbd during the fringe festival in august 2022 in the early evening, around 7pm. I like it because it gives an idea of the unusual way that sounds travel in that city. I could never figure out the reason for it, but it was noticeable to me the whole time i was there. If anyone knows the reason please post it in the comments. The recording was made with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a zoom h5 portable recorder.
This was part of a cat fight picked up by dreamtalk recorder, an app for iphone. It records mainly for when i talk in my sleep, but often picks up interesting sounds outside my house.
A field recording of some machinery humming and some distant background construction in my street. I decided to record it as part of my college project. Would make good atmos. Recorded in stereo on a zoom h4npro microphone. Hope this helps! :)).
Soundscape in the cacique hall, a huge chamber in the spanish karstic system ojo guareña. This was recorded in total darkness. Many drippings can be heard here and there in a nice stereo. Is it an oppressive atmosphere or a relaxing background?. Recorded with sony pcm-d50.
Rain against my closed window. A blend of tiny drops against the window, deeper ones against the road further away, and a flowing drain to the side. Loops perfectly.
Car traffic at a five-way intersection near the county fairgrounds on a summer night. Recorded at 11pm on saturday, august 4, 2007, on a portable sony mz-m100 himd linear pcm minidisc recorder with a rode nt4 stereo mic with a rycote windjammer wind screen.
Main street in tourist costal city of dziwnówek in west poland. It's typical for cities like that: full of cheesy market stands. The game of coin-football, which you can hear ringing constantly in the background is also characteristic for polish coastal tourist areas. Many people (talking mostly polish language), and several cars are passing by. I am standing on pavement, and have thestreet in front of me and backside of supermarket behind me. The sound was recorded with zoom h3vr (ambix format).

Traffic, people waiting the tram, tram arrive, turn, arrive, garbage truck bangs. Street in helsinki, arabianranta. Ampi ambience recording class in helsinki, finland, 22nd september 2022. Zoom h4 + 2x sennheiser mkh60.
An alternative "riser" with a strong suspenseful atmos and cold metallic tones. Originally edited from a stretched and filtered sound of a bed frame being hit. I imagine, however macabre, the lasting shot of a character demise or a shocking sound cue for particularly transgressive notions.
4ch field recording of an underpass below a german motorway, the a38 by leipzig. The recorder is located directly beneath an expansion joint on the edge of the underpass, the clonks and clanks of cars and trucks driving over the joint can clearly be heard, with the motorway noise reverberating in the underpass in the background. Recorded with a zoom h2 with a rycote windscreen, mounted on a boom pole. These are the rear channels, mics set to 120° dispersion.
