A high speed train (tgv) arrival in railway station, recorded from the other train platform.

This was recorded in my kitchen next to a railway, late at night when there was maintenance going on on the line. A heavy unit called a tamper went past, tamping down the ballast (stones) that go under the tracks. Lots of sub-bass as the whole building gets vibrated and at -04:29 a balanced teapot lid puts itself onto the teapot. Zoom h4n, 24/48 wav exported to flac in audacity.

This is a startup of small mini gauge steam engine railway at dargiling (w. B. India). Recodrd standing on platform andengigne pass by at distance, little sound of peoples on platform.

Audio of an electrified commuter rail line in downtown charlotte, north carolina as is approaches the crossing. You can hear the horn in the distance, then the bells of the crossing gates as the begin to close, and then the train horns again before it passes by the crossing into the station.
