A rumble of thunder from a storm over 50 miles away over the irish sea from an mcs during july 2016. The atmospheric conditions of that night, along with the lack of other noise allowed sounds to be heard much further than they normally would. The main reason was likely due to a strong temperature inversion close to the ground. Recorded with zoom h4n onboard mics.

This is not a complete composition. This is a loop i created for people who play d&d or any rpg or game thats similar. It will loop perfectly. It is not diverse enough in composition to be considered a finished track, nor is it dynamic enough to be a finished song, it is a 3 min 30 seconds loop with the midi used on 2 different synths so it doesn't get more boring than it already is. This is not a complete composition. It's a loop. Meant to be looped. I used 2 sounds, the tiger roar and thunder from two other users. They described it is okay to do so in their description. Stereo ambience of rainfall in germany, with several thunderstrikes in between. Fyi: this is a reupload - i cut off some background talking in the end of the original file.

A sudden spring rain storm recorded indoor in a courtyard, so it contains some natural reverb. It also contains a heavy thunder in the middle. Please, excuse the quality, it was suddenly recorded with a mobile just when it happened.

I placed my recorder on my window sill as this thunderstorm was raging outside. The sounds of torrential rain, thunder, and a dog barking in a distance. If you used this sound and would like to credit me, i would be honored, if not, that is fine as well. Hope this helps in anyway.

Mono recording with rode nt1000. It's done indoors, by the window, with the window open, pointing outside. In the first plane you'll have birds (portugal), then mild rain and some far away thunder. Some thunders are closer, pretty clear and loud. Be ware for some of my movement sounds, you may need to edit.

This sounds as if it were staged by hollywood, but it actually did happen, i swear! birds chirp away to set the scene, but a beefy thunder roll intrudes. Soon after, raindrops begin to fall as if on cue. Theres a little handling noise click in the begining that is easy to crop out if you like. The recording is unedited. At 1:35 i move the mics closer to the deck so you can hear the splashing. At about at 3:10 i you’ll hear a different timbre as i move away from the rain and under an awning. About 3:45 the rain settles down and the birds start chirping again. Hopefully there are some useful segments in here. Recorded with a dead cat on a tascam dr-05 at 48khz 24 bit, then compressed with “lame --preset insane --scale 10” to make up for the low gain i used (i was afraid a thunderclap would engage the limiter). More rain and distant thunder recorded from an open window. I recorded it with an optimus tape deck and an old microphone (the tape i recorded it on was a maxell ur), i then used audacity and the same tape deck to convert it to digital. If you use it please tell me what you did with it, i would love to know.

Inspired from the sniper scene in "saving private ryan,". These are sound recordings of a heavy storm that entered los angeles. A compressor and equalizer was added to emphasize the rain in the gutter. Used to your preference, add rocks, gun loading, battle etc and you'll have an award winning film. Recorded using a tascam dr07 mk2 x/y stereo config. 24bit 96khz, down-sampled to 16 bit wav. Feel free to credit,comment and suggest further recordings for your need. Stereo recording of rain at bogota city, around 5:00 p m on november 2015 at 67th street with 9th av. At the beginning the sound of thunder overload the audio signal because high level of decibels produced for high pressure levels. Recorded with zoom h4n recorder, with x, y mics at 120 degrees. Grabación en estéreo de lluvia en la ciudad de bogotá, alrededor de las cinco de la tarde, en noviembre de 2015 sobre la calle 67 con carrera 9. Al inicio suena un trueno cercano que satura un poco la señal de audio por los decibeles producidos por la presión sonora. Se realizó con una grabadora profesional portátil zoom h4n, con micrófonos en disposición x, y a 120 grados de apertura de la imagen estéreo.
