Rain falling heavily with wind. Some indistinguishable noise in background, could be children, and some voices. Some creaks and rain intensifies. Rooster crows. Rainy farm from a porch. More wind and creaks.

That is a recording of a walk towards a concert orchestra, playing in the central park of a small town called saue, in estonia. Recorded with a tascam dr100.

I recorded this sound in a large greenhouse where all the plants were getting watered by an automatic system. You can hear the leaves getting hit by water. It might also sound like rain to some if you disregard the background noise of the water rushing through the little streams.

Rain in brittany on a windy winter day. I built this sound by mixing several field recordings made on the same spot: a small wood in the south of the region. These recordings had different focuses: some were more wind-oriented, others had more rain. . . Instead of publishing these individual takes, i chose to mix them in order to create a soundscape that would vary in density, depth and spacing. Recorded with a zoom h2n in x/y stereo mode. Rode nt4 -> maudio delta1010lt, capturing a lightning strike that made the walls of my house shake, and forced me to turn off my computer. The lightning occured ~167 meters away from the microphone, calculated from the time lapse between the initial dc spike and the start of audible strike. Clipped quite a bit, had the input slightly too high, but did not expect one to hit so close. A picture hanging on my wall shook violently when this one hit. Recorded with a roland r-05. I placed it under my pickup truck on a very rainy day. The sound of rainfall has a little bit of a metallic sound as the rain hits my truck. There is also a river-flowing kind of sound as this street floods in heavy rain, and the water runs from the street into a storm drain right beside my driveway. Various vehicles occasionally pass by.

In july this year, a tremendous rain that changed to intense hail hammering on greenhouse roof. Flashes each 10 seconds. Placed a plastic jar on the microphone to protect it. The raingod spoke and suddenly it was all over. (i have a video clip, if somwone wants).
