Soft rain and birds.

The sounds of a soft summer evening storm in the city drawing to a close. Recorded on a blue yeti from my studio window that faces the gangway between buildings. Some distant sounds of my partner in the apartment can be heard within the first 30 seconds. Throughout the remainder, there are occasional sounds from the street as cars pass on the wet road.

Mono recording with rode nt1000. It's done indoors, by the window, with the window open, pointing outside. In the first plane you'll have birds (portugal), then mild rain and some far away thunder. Some thunders are closer, pretty clear and loud. Be ware for some of my movement sounds, you may need to edit.

Bouřka a déšť.

Thunderstorm developed over pécel on 6th august 2014 and produced about 5-6 mms of rain with heavy rainfall (large raindrops). This only one-thunder thunderstorm was recorded by my sony stereo dictaphone.

Recorded 6/7/13 with tascam dr-07 mk ii. I don't know the exact location, it could have been 1 of 2 places. Park ridge illinois or new york city manhattan.

This sounds as if it were staged by hollywood, but it actually did happen, i swear! birds chirp away to set the scene, but a beefy thunder roll intrudes. Soon after, raindrops begin to fall as if on cue. Theres a little handling noise click in the begining that is easy to crop out if you like. The recording is unedited. At 1:35 i move the mics closer to the deck so you can hear the splashing. At about at 3:10 i you’ll hear a different timbre as i move away from the rain and under an awning. About 3:45 the rain settles down and the birds start chirping again. Hopefully there are some useful segments in here. Recorded with a dead cat on a tascam dr-05 at 48khz 24 bit, then compressed with “lame --preset insane --scale 10” to make up for the low gain i used (i was afraid a thunderclap would engage the limiter). Another thunder, but further than the first one recorded with a blue yeti.

This stereo recording was made on november 23, 2014 in grays harbor washington during a rare thunderstorm. The clip contains rain falling on a wooden deck and recurring peals of thunder both near and far. This original recording was made using a zoom h-6 handy recorder with zoom stereo xy microphone. The track was edited in audacity 2. 0. 6 to remove a few artifacts. Total run time for this wav file is: 8:29. This is my first upload. I am hearing impaired and new to field audio recording. I am fascinated by this art form and hearing sounds that i haven’t been able to hear in twenty years. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the quality of my work and, if you choose to use this in a project, the end use you have in mind.

Inspired from the sniper scene in "saving private ryan,". These are sound recordings of a heavy storm that entered los angeles. A compressor and equalizer was added to emphasize the rain in the gutter. Used to your preference, add rocks, gun loading, battle etc and you'll have an award winning film. Recorded using a tascam dr07 mk2 x/y stereo config. 24bit 96khz, down-sampled to 16 bit wav. Feel free to credit,comment and suggest further recordings for your need. Winter's day in residential ontario. Very windy, nearby wind chimes and wind in trees. Recorded using an h2n zoom recorder, using m/s raw setting. Decoded, side channel brought down 5 db.

A soft rain followed by a loud thunder, recorded some years ago in my house during a storm, with the pc microphone. Half an hour of the storm was recorded, and i've extracted this part with audacity to share in here.

Regen_noise_collector.

This is a sound i created by using three different things. I recorded my bathroom fan and altered the pitch, added a few cents and overlayed them at 50%, and added a band-pass filter. I also recorded batteries rolling across the bottom of a drawer, lowered the pitch a bit, and added a high pass filter. And then lastly i added some wind that i created by blowing into my hands. That i did not adjust at all. It sounds just like a thunderstorm.

This was recorded at the edge of a field, so it's literally a field recording. It's summer, there has been some rain but now it has stopped and the sun is out. A lark is singing its heart out. There is some wind noise which i've reduced with eq and noise removal using audacity, also some traffic noise from the road some way to my right (hard to get away from traffic noise). Recorded with a zoom h1 using the in-built microphones.

I'm sorry for the rain sounds on the roof, but i didn't want to go outside in the storm at night. Now it's more specific because you hear the roof.

On 8th of june 2013 thunderstorms developed above pécel, small town in hungary in the afternoon. The greatest part is recorded by my sony stereo dictaphone. Unfortunately some of my neighbours were talking too and can be heard in the recording.

Nine minutes of a strong thunderstorm with heavy rain and frequent thunder, recorded on the back patio of my house. Recorded with an iphone 4, then converted to wav 48hz. The quality is pretty good. You don't hear any cars or other background noise, just lots of rain and thunder.
