I'm an enthusiastic and i created and attempted my first gun's shooting and respective reloading sound. Totally lo-fi, using metallic door bangs and many other rattlings. I boosted some 'ugly' harmonics so you can adapt it as best as your mixes need it. Similarity: i'd say it sound like, known in videogames, a sub-machine gun; a small full-auto gun. I wanted to make a sound effect for a game i'm developing, and so i recorded a 100-mm artillery cannon at camp williams (utah national guard), then modified the sounds using audacity. The recording was done on an olympus digital recorder in the mid-2000s (first decade). It sounded a little to me like the tribute cannon from hunger games (the sound effect that signals the deaths of the tributes), thus the name.
