This sound is a record of someone skating on cobblestones, so we hear the skate rolling on this ground. I've recorded this sound then i improved it on audacity, i reduced the wind so we can only hear de sound of the skate wheels. I've also tried to make that sound as clear as possible thanks to different effects.

Pulling apart and throwing / dropping / breaking / smashing chunks of ice from the frozen water pooled up over the cover of my swimming pool. The breaking ice sometimes sounds a bit like shattering glass; at other times the sound is more crunchy and wet.

A huge thunder/hailstorm recorded in pretoria, south africa at around 16:36. The radar reflectivity of this storm was around 63dbz. Recorder used: zoom h1 built in microphones. Please comment or suggest anything.

I've spotted two skaters on a pavement and i decided to spend my last few free megabytes on the sounds they were making. The skaters were rolling on a hard pavement made of small square panels. Recorded with rare pair of xy mics of zoom h2 (hand-held) @ 96khz/24-bit. Unprocessed and unedited recording. Converted to flac with audacity.

Recorded using a pair of rode lavalier microphones from a loft window. The hail stones were hitting the metal flashing (i think that it what it is called) around the window. The sound of an ice maker on a water cooler doing a few cycles. My amazing aunt harriet amazes again by sending me this sound of her ice maker. She taped her old iphone to the inside of the door on her new water cooler/ice maker combo, and let the ice maker run for a few cycles. She even typed up a description of what it does for me so i could post this here on freesound:the water is pumped from a reservoir underneeth the ice tray into a tray above that houses 9 pegs. The water is then cooled to freezing, while the 9 pegs are simultaneously cooled to hold the ice in place. More water is then pumped into the tray to thicken each piece of ice. After a few minutes, excess water is dumped back into the reservoir and ice falls from the pegs into the ice tray. The process then repeats. Enjoy and use however you like!.

Large walk-in freezer rattling and buzzing.

This is the hum of an old freezer running. The microphone (galaxy s9) was placed inside and the door shut.

Blending a smoothie. Blender goes on and off a couple of times to help churn frozen strawberries. During the blending, there is the sound of a spoon tapping on the pitcher. Recorded in mono mp3 mode on a zoom h2. The recorder then created a 2-track file (and i assume both tracks are identical). Compressed and normalized to -3. 1 db in audacity. Exported in flac mode.

Just having some fun with the 6 inches of snow that we received. The first part of this is me walking/breaking some ice that had formed in a low area and then me walking on snow, which has a frosty glaze on top of it. Recorded with the handy/zoom h-4n recorder using its built-in microphones. The built-in microphones can be adjusted to pick up sound from 90 degrees around the microphones to 180 degrees. For this recording, i had them on 180 degrees. *note, you will also -- if you listen carefully -- hear a male robin singing in a tree. Pretty unique combination - the snow and ice being crunched with the typical sound of spring in background. He must have been one tough bird!.

Really heavy downpour of rain (or so i thought), so i headed out to capture with the zoom h4n and realized it was hail! rare for northern california.
