Just a recording of me banging on a glasss table. Has a lot of sounds of me trying to move the mic to the glass table to record me hitting the glass, but i think it may be useful for music creation.

A boing sound made with a jaws harp. Recorded with a behringer c2 pencil condenser into an m-audio projectmix i/o interface. Ver little processing, just topped and tailed.

To create this sound i recorded a disposable lighter in my bedroom. To record, i used my aston spirit microphone on cardioid polar pattern and my focusrite scarlett 18i20 second generation (2nd gen) interface running pro tools from my mac at 48khz, 24 bit. I also used a reflection filter to lower rt60 so this sound has minimal reverb to tape. The cable i used was made of canford hst cable and has neutrik xlr connectors.

I left the zoom h4n field recorder stationary as i mowed the back yard. Tonality and pitch changes based on terrain, velocity and movement.

Recorded with an omnidirectional lavalier microphone, a clippy em172, and a zoom h-5. Denoised with audacity. Cut and normalized in ocenaudio. Plane- it’s difficult to get good recordings of planes taking off these days. There’s always major streets or highways close by which results in a bunch of unwanted traffic noise. It’s difficult to find a good vantage point to set up because there’s hardly any public parking with unobstructed sight lines (or in my case hearing lines) to the planes. Plus, with all the extra security measures in place these days, how suspicious would i look setting up a laptop andsome cables and some other electronic equipment in the general area of the runway?but i managed to get this recording. It’s not spectacular, but it’s ok. There’s some worker truck at the end of it which gets in the way, but doesn’t ruin it. Loyola high school field recording.

I recorded this in my living room with mics in an x-pattern on the couch very close together, using a tascam dr-70d and behringer dyynamic microphones with patch cables for optimal volume. I recorded this at maximum gain on the tascam as two stereo files, then conjoined them to a 6-channel audio file properly and mixed the front two channels to a monaural center channel for added effect. The final result is what can be downloaded here. Tghe music in the background is part of the star trek: generations expanded complete score, and is coming from my computer to the rear of the recording, which lasts just over a minute in length, and the music was just background noise for testing purposes only. No copyright infringement was intended. Credit for the music goes to the now late jerry goldsmith and also dennis mccarthy, who is still alive. I hope you like this audio demonstration, and find it useful when considering rigs like the holophone, or comparible 5. 1 surround sound microphones / rigs.
