This is the sound of a knob used to adjust robot features at ubica lab (upf). Their research areas are enclosed within the general disciplines of ubiquitous computing, contextual intelligence and cognitive systems, using sensors and radiofrequency identificaiton (rfid).
I generated a sort of a bassdrum with https://donald82. Kapsi. Fi/services/wave_generator. Cgi i used this formula: cos(200000/(x+1117)). Not going to use that anywhere but i figured someone else might want to. Or maybe someone else want to generate their own bassdrum :).
A one minute walk through an old factory building in reading, pa converted into an arts center called goggleworks (the factory made safety goggles among other things). Sounds include footsteps on creaky floor, elevator ride, climbing metal staircase. Recorded with tascam dr40.
Airport checkin acknowledge sound. Request from ratla. Used the original recording, cutted the first part. Noise-reducted 2 times. Leveled the frequencies a bit higher and finally set an echo on it to fade out slowly. Equipment used: audacity.

To make this sound i used the twente online radio tuner (http://websdr. Ewi. Utwente. Nl:8901/). I recorded as i changed the listening frequency and filter (bandwidth). The sound is only amplified.
