This was recorded inside the blue mosque in istanbul during friday prayer in may 2005. To get in to the blue mosque with recording equipment we had to get a permission from the religious authorities. We also needed a muslim to operate the equipment since the friday prayers were forbidden for non-muslims. We set up the recording equipment and let our turkish guide hit the record button once the prayer started. The sound is recorded using an m/s rig straight to dat and processed afterwards with a hp filter in protools to remove microphone rumble. A sort of renaissancey version of the first two lines of ding dong merrily on high, composed on cubase with samples from the edirol orchestral plug in (a bit of harp, french horn, alto flute and violin with kettle drum and sleigh bell percussion). These are the church bells from the st. Johannes nepomuk church in kehl a. Rhein. It's from a village on the german side of the french city, strasbourg. It was recorded with a tascam pcm recorder 19. 08. 2012.

In a french train (tgv) from brussels to paris. I was between two carriages, next to the door. This door is making a beautiful noise. At the end of the track, we can ear the train slow down with long break. Recorded with an olympus ls-100, 2017/09/10, 12h50.

This recording is done inside a closed room very early in the morning. You can hear the exterior ambience from inside of crickets and frogs.
