Recorded with h4n pro with 90deg mic orientation in front of my house. I used diy deadcat, but you can still hear a little bit of wind rumble. Kinda relaxing sound tho.

Stereo recording 48khz 24bit from the top of hangman's hill in the malvern hills, uk. Recorded for world listening day 2014 on 18 july in the early afternoon. Recorded with rode nt4 and sennheiser mkh416 through sound devices 442 into tascam dr-40. Additional processing in sound forge. The nt4 had quite a lot of top end hiss that i didn't really notice until too late.

The recording starts with gentle rain and slow thunder rolling across the sky. The thunder is predominantly in the first half of the recording. The rain increases in intensity in the second half, peaking about three-quarters of the way through. Recorded on a sheltered, outdoor stairway, in a suburban location in south-eastern england, in august 2013; using a zoom h2n recorder set on mid-side stereo, at a 120 degree spread. The original recording was heavily edited, to remove traffic, trains, planes and parakeets(!). Some light, occasional, background traffic noise remains, however.

I captured this sound on my canon powershot a460 digital camera. It was a horrible night, with strong winds and heavy rain. I went to my garden shed and positioned my camera at the small window inside my shed as there is a small hole in the right hand corner of the window, and through this small hole the wind blows through it making this whistle sound, almost like a flute. A sudden thunderstorm was making a peculiar noise while water dripped off my balcony, so i went out and captured it as the rain slowly decreased and eventually stopped. Recorded with zoom h4n pro.

Part of a series of sounds. I'm breaking up a rotten old piece of fencing in my back garden and thought i'd share the resulting sounds with the world!.

This sound is a record of someone skating on cobblestones, so we hear the skate rolling on this ground. I've recorded this sound then i improved it on audacity, i reduced the wind so we can only hear de sound of the skate wheels. I've also tried to make that sound as clear as possible thanks to different effects.
