I recorded this muezzin during my stay in abu dhabi. It was the mosque close to the hotel i stayed in. It is the noon-time-prayer. Abu dhabi has a lot of hihgrisers. Just discovered this recording i had from 2016, and thought i'd upload it to complement my other diner recording on here (https://freesound. Org/people/edlundart/sounds/501025/). This is 4 and a half minutes of background noise from a new york city diner, including people talking, clanging plates and glasses and forks and knives and cups being cleared away by staff. Crucially, no music is playing. This means you can either use this clean, or layer in your own rights-cleared music if you're using this in a film or whatever. Recorded in 2016 with an iphone — don't let the recording device scare you, it sounds pretty good and certainly fine for this kind of background noise. Use it in any way you like for any purpose. The davis-schrimpf onshore seep field site in the salton sea geothermal system is the result of shallow magmatic intrusions in a sedimentary basin. The ssgs is situated in the salton trough in southern california, an area with abundant surface manifestations of hydrothermal activity. The hydrothermal system in the salton trough occurs in a pull-apart setting where rifting and associated magmatic intrusions are responsible for the strong heat flow. One of the most concentrated and well-expressed onshore seep fields is the davis-schrimpf field, where more than 50 individual seeps are located in this area. Gas venting from gryphons and pools is vigorous with a continuous bubbling activity. Water and mud mixtures are continuously expelled down the flanks of the gryphons. Carbon dioxide produced from de-volatilization reactions involving sedimentary carbonate is the main driver for the seep activity. The morphological features of the davis- schrimpf seep field are strikingly similar to seep fields on dormant mud volcanoes however, the davis-schrimpf seeps are not related to mud volcanism, as mud volcanism normally implies large-scale mud breccia eruptions and a low temperature seep stage. This one was recorded with a homemade condenser mic into my zoom h4n, so it sounds a little lo-fi, though it seemed to take additive hf eq quite nicely. The huevos fucheros was delicious. I was super inspired to post here again after an insane coincidence happened!. I was in an online class (thanks, covid) where we were supposed to redo all the sounds and music for an animation we chose. We were encouraged to use sound libraries and freesound. Org. Zoom h4n - onboard microphones. This recording was captured in the city of orange in orange county, california. This is located just below los angeles and less than a mile from disneyland in anaheim. This is an extremely clean recording of a sudden cloudburst that turned in to a torrential downpour on december 28, 2020. The peaks are all very close to 0db. I opened the sliding glass door to our balcony and placed my zoom h4n as close as possible to the rain without destroying the recorder. What resulted is an amazingly layered rain track. This is because rain can be heard striking multiple surfaces such as a tree, a metal table, the cement balcony, etc. . . There is not much thunder (that's rare in this area) but if you need a few dramatic thunder claps they can be found at the following times one the file is downloaded. On many days i take a two mile walk from my house to my job. One gorgeous day i took my zoom h1 and sampled audio at various points during this walk. To avoid footsteps, i recorded each location standing still. In this file i gradually crossfade between the different locations. The walk begins on a suburban street, goes past a park where children are playing baseball, then a busy intersection, then a factory with open windows. A couple planes can be heard overhead. The last thing in the recording is the door of my job opening. ----recorded with internal microphones of a zoom h1.
