A pencil writing on some cardboard. Makes a good scratching sound for something like note taking or plain writing. It's semi-erratic with a couple pauses in between and i took different distances from the mic and angles with the pencil to try and get different sounds.

Rootsy solo mandolin cue, part of a "matched set" to be used in different places in a podcast, radio show, or video. The set contains segments from a second or two up to about a minute, to be used for cues, hits, bumps, interstitials and voiceovers. The music is a roundback mandolin from 1900 improvising in the key of g. The feel is uptempo, traditional, natural, organic, old time, americana. I'd be grateful for feedback on what worked and what didn't. How is the sound quality? are there lengths of cue that you needed that weren't here?. These recordings were made during a location-scouting trip i took some time ago to southern germany, where we had a look at some cathedrals to shoot a documentary. I took the time to record a few atmos with my handy h2. . . This is a very touristy sort of restaurant in the center of the historical town of speyer, featuring people talking in various languages, restaurant noises and, last but not least, no background music!.

Main street in tourist costal city of dziwnówek in west poland. It's typical for cities like that: full of cheesy market stands. The game of coin-football, which you can hear ringing constantly in the background is also characteristic for polish coastal tourist areas. Many people (talking mostly polish language), and several cars are passing by. I am standing on pavement, and have thestreet in front of me and backside of supermarket behind me. The sound was recorded with zoom h3vr (ambix format).

Recorded with tascam dr-05 plus diy deadcat (and the kitten works as you can hear. . . ). So here we go as an mp3 (neil young would say we´ve only get five percent).
