At cmu, there is a building with a really long hallway that has amazing acoustics. In this experiment, i set up a feedback loop. On one end of the hallway, there is a microphone connected to a laptop. On the other end, there is a speaker connected to another laptop. The two laptops are connected via skype calling. I play with my speaker's built in eq, and play my violin to stimulate the resonant frequencies of the hall. A better set up would be to use better equipment directly connected to each other, and have a stand-alone eq to independently control what resonant frequencies are playing.

Despite the cold, these summer residents don't seem to let that get in their way. Recording made at 6:30am on tuesday march 13th, 2018 in the backyard of a home in a small town in illinois. Ungdoms synden (translates to: the sin of adolescence) is a traditional swedish melody (style: polska) from boda in dalarna sweden. The melody is compsed by röjås jonas, aledgely played to him in his old age, by a fellow fiddler. "who has made that song?" jonas asked. "you did - many years ago" the player replied "that must have been my sin of adolescense" the composer replied. This is just the first phrase of the melody recorded by me. The boda polska rythm is based in 3/4, but somewhat unevenly spaced. Every village in the neighboorhood have their distinct muiscal dialect, in the way of how to play a polska. The boda musical dialect is reputaded throughout scandinavia. Recorded with zoom h4 in my living room copenhagen.
