A true stereo recording. The migrating birds have arrived from central and south america. This shows how nature sometimes can be quite loud and busy! pretty cool to listen to with good headphones on.

I needed a background sound for a play i was involved in to suggest a busy train station in the 1930's. There are various steam sounds, door clucks, whistles and a lot of reverberation sound effect applied.

Me boarding a train, mostly the sound of doors opening (no hissing, though), footsteps and some talking of passengers.

Long and lovely train horn, doppler effect included. Passing csx freight train, usa, recorded from platform about 50 feet away. Guessing it's moving ~30mph.

An earthquake that ripples through from far away and then makes the roof of a house crack and cave in. Used audacity to manipulate a couple different sounds to create the rumble of the earthquake. Then i added the cracking noise in the same program from a different effect (wood breaking).

Earthquake testing on giant shake table at university of san diego.

How does earth should sound? uh. . . I don't know, but i started to my make some noise with this old dead plant. I duplicated 6 times the track with different treatement on each ; pitch, overdrive, lo-pass, delay etc. . It's now sound more like earth quake than anything else. . .
