I created this sound back in 2019 using multiple recordings of an airsoft browning hi-power replica that i mixed together until it turned into this early 00s video game-y type clicky dry fire sound. A gunshot sound effect recorded for a high school production of the musical heathers. It was recorded on a zoom h1 and was made by a theatrical cap gun. I recorded it at a distance of about 5 feet and then again at a distance of about 40 feet from the audience and allowed the sound to reverberate both times. Then i duplicated both and mixed in both original sounds on top of each other, plus each sound pitched down 1 octave and the 40-feet away recording at 2 octaves down, plus the closer recording pitched one octave up. We then added and adjusted reverb in audacity and adjusted the sync of all the clips to be aligned, and adjusted the mix to make it sound as real as possible.

24/48 mono recording of the sound of a fnx. 45 acp being shot slowly in a gun range 9 times. During the recording there are a couple shell casing that can be heard hitting the floor. There is a long break after the final shot before the target is recalled on the automatic rail system. There is a slightly echo-y natural reverberation to the gun range. Other than that the recording is very quiet in-between shots and each shot sound was allowed to dissipate before another round was fired.
