Failure With Gong
This is a version of a previous file i created (https://freesound. Org/people/funwithsound/sounds/394897/)that includes a gong at the end to make it more dramatic. The link to the gong sound is here: https://freesound. Org/people/veiler/sounds/209917/. It would be really nice of you to credit the user "veiler" for their awesome gong sound, and maybe me for making the failure sound. But no obligations. :-). While perusing freesound for a nice and dramatic sound or two of failures, all the ones i've seen were pretty wimpy, so-to-speak. So i decided to create a few failure samples on a music-making program called musescore. These are for big whopper failures (or "epic failures") and are very dramatic - they may also be used for a scary event in a film or play. It includes a short buildup and a loud dissonant chord at the end to create suspense and horror. For this project i used violins, violas, cellos, double basses, timpani, cymbals and brass. Enjoy!.

Ils Infinitely Loud Silence (Ils)
This, my dear friend, is ils - infinitely loud silence. Play some other sounds and then play this, and you'll know why i call it this way. It's created by a bug present in lmms, a free program for electronic music production. Actually this sample can't reproduce the ils phenomenon, that creates a dc offset so big, that it outnumbers any other signal getting out of the same audio interface and the result is silence. It's a silence that is masking other sounds. Mind-boggling. Nasty bug. All this sound can do is cause some distortion, probably because 24-bit sound can be only as loud as 0db. 32-bit floating point should be able to get louder, but still i don't think any sample file would be able to reproduce this product of error.

Science Fiction Spindown Huge
A sound i made in audacity, basicly a chirp going down from about 500 hz to 20 hz (with a fade-out to limit subwoofer use)and added some ambience by using white noise rumble on the background, also added a slight wah-wah as you might notice. Lost Cosmonaut Transmission
Ostensibly, this is supposed to be a cleaned-up version of the famous radio transmissions recorded by the judica-cordiglia brothers in november of 1963, in which it appears that a female russian cosmonaut perished during a botched atmospheric reentry. What it actually is, is a combination of background sounds and a static-edited recording of a female vocalist (stellarcricket), featured in one of my completed audio projects. (if anyone finds a use for this transmission recording, please do let me know how it was used! i'm curious to see what others can do with it!).
