Recorded this on an afternoon in the fall of 2014 at a buddhist monastery in a small coastal town outside bangkok, derived from video taken by a samsung galaxy s3. At prayer time, the monks assemble and one monk leads with a microphone. This recording reflects the somewhat tinny eq of that sound system, and also includes some dimly-heard background noise from the outside environment (e. G. , passing vehicles).

This is a recording, made 2022 june 14, of the hubbub of sound inside the nave with multi-lingual tourists milling about, taking selfies, and gazing upward in awe.
