This emulates the ambient noise of a planet sized computer and its associated gargantuan processes. I aimed for a "what if" scenario. What if v'ger could speak to other similar artificial entities of enormous size and complexity. Originally recorded on zoom h2. The sound was originally a styrofoam take-out container which i pressed down on and released several times. I then filtered it.

Lyrebird is a ground dwelling bird that lives in the australian bush and is very clever at mimicking sounds. This particular bird happens to sound like a science fiction movie! i removed much of the background noise, and lightly processed it with a phase effect. At the end i pitched certain sounds down for a more alien, dinosaur sound. The original sound was recorded on a smart phone.

A crowd of indian children, praying at night with their teacher in the catholic cathedral of dibrughar (assam state, india). Recorded during the making of the documentary film i was directing (february 2006), on a dvcam tape, using a sony video camera pd170, and a neumann kmr 81 microphone.

In the book of revelation the lamb of god opens the seals to reveal the four riders of the apocalypse. In turn each calls "come and see" voice recorded with voice recorder on android cell phone and processed/layered 4 times using pitch shift in audacity. This is myself doing some voice acting for my music projects.
