A rhythmic selection of noise, cut from a voice mail message.

Around 2010, i circuit-bent a motorola cellphone and added a control surface to control the bends. Then i added an atari paddlewheel so its big potentiometer could be used to do pitchbends, and the result is an instrument i called the "sonic electronic ball breaker". It's got knives, quarterstaves, thor's lightning, sharp sticks, nuclear machineshotguns, and even some claws that come out to jab 'em. In this sample i'm going through and playing with the controls to see what i get. These sounds are pretty abrasive, but they work well when run through a bunch of effects.

I was looking for a smoke machine blast and a c02 gun blast for an after-movie sound design, but i couldn't find a proper sound on the internet, so with my sound design knowledge, i tried to replicate those noisemakers. Hereby is the first sound from my pack which is coming soon. You are allowed to use this in any festival/after-movie video you have, no need to credit me. Greets, tapesome. Low, metalic drone in f# made by time-stretching some voice sample ran through vocoder (using paul's extreme sound stretch). It has some digeridoo timbre, but just a little bit :) enjoy.

I bought a portable sw radio for about £2 from a local flea-market, hoping to pick up some interesting radio stations from around the world and maybe some "spy" numbers stations if i was lucky. Had a quick scan this morning and stumbled on this nice clear station, sounds russian - most likely the end of the broadcast and wrapping up with a repeated code to indicate end of transmission.

But over the past few years, games emerged as some of the top-selling products in video and computer gaming. The main focus in such a project would be on generating a score by merging a few sounds in the background of the soundtrack (such as bumping or breaking) with specific vehicle sound effects (such as braking).
