This was all recorded in enumclaw, wa on july 4th, 2013. I used a yamaha pocketrak recorder throughout the day and into evening when the fireworks started. There's an old piano outside the music store and i just caught the end of a young guy playing some nice music. I then just walked down the street recording the sounds. You can hear me talking to a guy who's working for a local politician. The b-25 mitchell bomber flyover was totally unexpected and i was lucky to have had the recorder going. It made two passes right over me and i love the sounds of those engines. It was a great day. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

It's nearly impossible to find sound effects of someone handling an instrument and not playing it. . . At least it was until i uploaded this!. This was an acoustic guitar, but can be pitched up or down for similar smaller or bigger instruments. There's rubbing, knocking, and gliding fingers over the strings. No need to credit me. A wooden violin thrown across a room hard several times. Used in episode 8 "decoherence" of the genius-podcast audio drama, to be the sound of someone pitching their violin across the room in frustration.

Piano lid gently taps as it is opened and rests against the upper front board. Organic reverberations can also faintly be heard from the detuned strings. Possibly could be used for something interesting, it has a wooden bass drum sound. 100+ year old upright piano, microphone placed directly inside. (sample 1 of 4).

Wrote/recorded a free chill tune that used the chimes at 120bpm using ableton live 9 stock plugins:chimes and bowlight and shadow. Magical sound effect. I recorded it with my metallophone.

Various sound effects from children's toys edited together. All are on a low quality speaker, but are usually unique. All spoken word sounds as well as specific things like laughs or animal sounds are in different sounds. They range from real sounds like cowbells and car horns to blings and ascending synth sounding noises for a correct answer. (some tags describe one or two sounds in a long list, so listen to all of them if you're looking for something specific).

Session 1, find more koto in this sound pack. The recorder wasn't optimally placed in the session 1 recording, so sometimes you might hear some low impact noises transitioning through the table to the recorder. Some eq (low cut) should be able to fix this. We went to my friend's father to record a koto, a traditional japanese zither-like (table harp) instrument, consisting of a large wooden base with long strings for plucking. The strings are tuned in the japanese pentatonic scale, allowing a mystic, mysterious, beautiful harmony. It was my first time ever playing this instrument, so don't expect wonders lol. But i tried to "feel" the instrument as well as i could, working from my limited keyboard and guitar playing skills. I improvised simple patterns, and also tried to work with call and response ideas, and bass notes, plucking the low strings with my fingers, and then plucking the high ones with a pick. Wrote/recorded a free orchestral tune at 175-bpm using ableton live 9. Ableton stock plugins used: braskinski, grand pianoezdrummer2 used for percussion sections. Kontact5 used for trumpet, trombone, string, bass sections. Guitarrig5 used for electric guitar elements. -15. 0 lufs integrated. -2. 1 db true peak max.
