I tried to make a friction drum by stringing a med handglove membrane to a wooden mortar. That mostly failed; i couldn’t control the pitch and make continuous sound. Here the membrane is stroked by a wooden pestle, making quite annoying sounds. Recorded with redmi note 5 phone, denoised and filtered bogus sub bass in audacity.
A wooden door with rusty hinges being opened and closed very, very slowly (and then more quickly later in the recording). Mic is very close to the creaking hinge and the sound is extremely clean and direct.
Three (3) knocks on door, heavy. Made with the goal to replace knock. Wav in freedink. Mix of cc0 soundshttps://freesound. Org/people/e-audio/sounds/118624/https://freesound. Org/people/jmdh/sounds/178991/.
Was going in and out of my cellar door today and had to capture the rich sound of creaking. There are several variations- long and short, and outside ambience.
