A little test recording i did with my brand new pair of jrf series d hydrophones. The 'phones were placed into the bottom of a large glass, which i then filled with carbonated water.
The kettle i have at home, going through a cycle until it switches off automatically when it reaches boiling level. I recorded it with my sony pcm-m10. Hope you find it useful!.

I move the gear shifter from park to reverse to drive, and back and forth. This is the sound of the driver manipulating the stick, not the car's transmission changing gears. You can hear the vehicle idling softly.
