This is a soundscape i made for a large scale art and oral history event for light night in liverpool. It was designed to create the texture of a working docks in liverpool in the 50's & 60's. Some of my sounds from a tascam dr-07 mkii. Plusprops to these sounds to adding to the mix. 98479__juskiddink__flock-of-seagulls72805__lg__steam-whistle-090518106111__thatjeffcarter__clanking-warehouse-combined-stereo145721__rmutt__mooring-rope171376__klankbeeld__container-port-01213600__genghis-attenborough__train222037__sailor55__marinepiledriver-sel244233__ikbenraar__car-ferry-terminal-dover. This is a sound to emulate cracks on a wall as they happen or rocks falling off a cave or earthquake aftermath. Simply by holding my olympus ws600 against a lamp with beeds and crumbling hard plastic on the other then i uploaded the file to audicity and added the gverb effect to make it sound from a short distance and converted the file to mono as well :).
This sound is made from ground up intirely on the computer. It was meant to sound like something is breaking down. Actually it's made up of two sounds mixed together. The one is a chip (snack) that is being crushed and the other is a drawer being smacked hardly. The entirety is then downpitched. Made with adobe audition and a regular cheap microphone.
