Plane- it’s difficult to get good recordings of planes taking off these days. There’s always major streets or highways close by which results in a bunch of unwanted traffic noise. It’s difficult to find a good vantage point to set up because there’s hardly any public parking with unobstructed sight lines (or in my case hearing lines) to the planes. Plus, with all the extra security measures in place these days, how suspicious would i look setting up a laptop andsome cables and some other electronic equipment in the general area of the runway?but i managed to get this recording. It’s not spectacular, but it’s ok. There’s some worker truck at the end of it which gets in the way, but doesn’t ruin it. High speed small motor like that of a vacuum cleaner.

Camera noises. I pressed shutter button of nikon f4, which i bought 15 years ago. It is full-automatic action, and you can hear splat the shutter makes, motor-driven film winding-up, and slight harmonics its aluminum chassis plays. I recorded it using audio-technica ae5100 connected to presonus firepod.

I live near a rural airport. Small-engine plane flying by. Distant sound, not close up. I left a lot of ambience on the front and back end so you can choose when to fade in and out.

A czech guy named "staney the robot man" who lives in prague build this little synth. It's completely handmade and consists of a bunch of analog circuitry that when powered creates strange oscillations in current. It's also built into a seseame street toy saxophone. This set sounds like a robot talking. If chopped up and sequenced you could do a lot with it.

My dad using a gas-powered tiller on the side of his driveway. Unfortunately, i didn't realize his truck radio was on, though you can only hear it when he turns the tiller off at the end of the recording. It was recorded on the zoom h4n.

Tried to emulate sound of a large motor starting. This sound is actually from an air raid siren. Reminds me of some transit bus but also sounds like some electric motor.

It is the sound of a plane going over us in delta of llobregat. Recorded with a zoom h1 recorder.
