Boots walking through short grass. Heavy rain the previous day had created a large amount of mud which can also be heard in this recording. Should be enough space in between each step to be effectively cut up for foley work. Recorded with a ntg2 mono shotgun microphone into a r05 recorder.

Step into a puddle of mud.

Stomping on a big cement ground as hard a possible with a contact mic attached to the ground. The contact mic provides lots of bass so you can use this for punches, kicks, impacts, anything that can use a sweeter for impacts. I handmade my contact mic and recorded that into a h5. From under a concrete bridge, the sound of cars driving at a fairly high speed over the decking. Unlike some similar bridges, this one does not produce any loose metal clanking at the joints and there is very little flange to the sound as the cars pass.

Sounds of walking in the forest in poland. Walking on the path, on the leaves (with some sticks breaking) and in some mud.

A second attempt at recording the deep mud i keep finding myself walking through each morning on walthamstow marshes. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics (connected to a bent wire clothes hanger and positioned about 30cm above my feet). Processing: normalize -1. 0db, low cut filter 100hz, minor noise reduction to reduce background traffic/train noise. I do not require any credit or attribution. Recorded from inside the cormarant bird hide at the ackerdijkse plassen. A nature area where 50 to 60 different kinds of birds live now and what used to be an area where lots of peat was extracted.
