About the possibilities of what can be done with the human voice in a recording studio. What you hear in these remixes is twice treated: first, by matt stevenson at the eris temple in philly in '06; secondly, by zenboy1955 from the cc mixter crew in cali in 2021. The range of sounds and effects achieved is, i feel, incredible, esp. In the second, vocal montage remix. Enjoy.

Bubbles for your project for a mad scientist.

Acryllic markers being used on masonite wood. Both long and short strokes recorded from different angles. Sounds very exaggerated, similar to cardboard or paper. Could also sound like writing. Recorded with a blue yeti in stereo mode without any processing. Recorded for a promotional video.

Was messing around in fl studio with plugins. Put a picture of a man into something that turns images into audio and this is the result.

I knocked on the door and the teacher let me in. I also recorded classroom sounds, too.

Noisey classroom sounds.

Dry ice dumped in a small fountain and recorded with an r-09hr. The bubbles sound very frantic and are continuous. I couldn't get too close, or else the splashing would have entered the mic capsules. It is a very clear sound nonetheless.

Output waveform from the assessed lab for speech processing (lasc11065). The wave was created using the festival speech synthesis system version 1. 96 beta (july 2004), with one of their own available voices (male, scottish english).

Start-up of the little power plant in my house's basement. Kind of futuristic sound. It was took with 2 beyerdynamic mc530.

Cold frozen ice, melted by normal water. Sounds like boiling intense.

Generic sci-fi drone. Created on a keyboard. Could be the sound of an alien vaporizing someone with some kind of ray/mind device. Or the sound of strange chemicals combining. Possibly a sudden super-dramatic character movement/drug freakout.

Good kick for techno, recorded with nepheton in ableton.

This is a background piece, i used for a section of a book, we read in a music piece. The prose isn't included here. The sound is a representation of the big bang and what follows.

Room tone i recorded in a vocal booth just for filler. Great for dead room tone on interviews. A few small noises happen, but the file loops and cuts well. Recorded ortf with zoom 4 mobile recorder.

I believe this was recorded with a sound devices 702 and a neumann rsm 191 stereo shotgun in a concrete stairwell. You can hear the rain hitting the stairs and going down the drain. It's also hitting some junk at the top of the stairs. There are big thunder claps and more distant rumbles.
