This is a sound of a fridge opening and closing.

Skateboard, with no one on it, rolling down a small wooden bridge, at various speeds. Stereo, mic x/y.

An ice-cream van drives past, then stops to wait for customers.

Starts with two quick finger snaps before passing an iced coffee. Coffee back back and forth, on and off wooden desk shaking the plastic cup with ice, several repetitions. Recorded with a rode nt-usb mini (and a split cup jasmine milktea and house iced coffee from zero degrees in tempe, arizona. It was good as hell. ) recorded for the fiction podcast valence. Sounds from inside of a refrigerator.

Classic frigidaire (electrolux) fridge turning on. It runs a cycle for about 6. 5 minutes, making a few noises along the way, and then turns off and cools down. Recorded with at875r. For those who really care, this fridge is electrolux model # ftmd18p4kw2.

After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of the sliding door, i followed the top of the door (where there was the most interesting sound) the full length of the wardrobe as i opened/closed the door. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

A slide whistle sound, classically used for falling effects in cartoons. Also good for droops and drooping. For the british sound connoisseur, it was used for comedy/innuedo effect in the "carry on" films. Recorded with a zoom h4n and shotgun mic.
