Just some recording of a dried, brittle chili pepper with little seeds inside - up way way close to the mic (a zoom h2n). Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). A test recording of a top-loading washing machine accelerating to 1000rpm on its final spin cycle. Note that it's not as high-quality as i would've liked, but i'll try again soon. Recorded with an oppo reno 8 lite 5g phone and edited with audacity. You may also hear birds chirping, which i had trouble editing out with this recording. The machine in question is a fisher & paykel quicksmart 5. 5kg (mw513) running on 240v 50hz power. This machine utilises a "direct drive" bldc motor instead of the traditional induction motor and pulley.

A recording of my fridge from the interior. The high pitched squeaks are due to the freesound's preview conversion, they're are not present in the raw file. There are some minor clipping sounds that i don't have a clue where could they come from. Something living inside my fridge?. Gear: zoom h6 with xy mics.

I recorded hot-water-heating pipes crackling and then looped the sample at progressively faster & harmonically relevant speeds.
