This is a combination of plastic crackling, paper ripping and crumbling, sticks cracking and twisting, matches lighting, and a gas stove. All of which are moderately eqed and mixed in protools, but nothing is heavily processed. What is left is the illusion of a building fire.

A horrible sound for a contest, created by paulstretching the sound of an old photo-slide scanner six times, then slowly layering it on top of itself up by a semitone every second and adding reverb. I recorded my voice, layed it out on the track and increased the pitch quite drastically. I layered this with a chirp track so as to contrast the downward rhythm with an upward one. A nice and fat stereo sound that is a compilation of several match samples that i found here to give it more fatness.

This may be the most irritating squeak sound ever. In our office, we discovered a particular filing cabinet that squeaked if you would lean against it. It was too good to pass up. So i put my recorder in the drawer and leaned. This is the result: four squeaks of unparalleled irritation. I hope you can find a use for this in your projects.

Used shotgun shells falling onto a hard surface. I recorded this sound myself using the mic on my computer and some empty shotgun shells i found by simply dropping them on the floor.
