Basically layered a 200hz snare body, similar to a 909, low-passed and saturated. Added in a transient sound, then a certain impact sound that you wouldn't expect, layered together with some high end white noise, compressed, then used a transient shaper for that final touch.

Layered a nice snare, some noise, clap, and even a really pitched up kick( like 24 semitones up) to get this sound. Added in some tape saturation and compression(rough rider) and voila, i made a dirty snare. :).

One snare out of a bunch of custom snares made by me, combined samples, multi-band compressed and hit to tape. Custom to the point that i layered and re-sampled, layered and resampled. So much mangling and layering and resampling that its impossible to tell you the source to these snares.

Unsticking duct tape.

This is the sound of hitting an office chair with the belt, including several strikes recorded from different angles. Some are very light with a high end smack and other are deep and boomy depending on the place of the microphone. Recorded with a zoom h4.

Campo da manga durante o início da madrugada. Da janela do meu quarto, com aparelhos calibrados, analisava o ambiente do campo e todos os sons que ele me proporcionava. Num horário mais calmo, a rua já vazia, veículos começam a passar, cachorros brincam no meio da grama, sons bem noturnos e calmos, com presença de grilos e sapos. Data:hora: 0h45. Amateur guitar play from an old cassette (memorex 120, 1 of 2) recorded in 1984 when i was 15. Plucking 1 or 2 strings to a tune of my own making. This was an experimental recording session, using two tape recording machines. (ghetto blaster & hi-fi tower) take - 3 with takes 1 & 2 impositions playing, creating a final 3 track recording. Two previous takes (two track recording) playing, while recording a third track.

I found this old c-60 cassette labelled "xx" in a local thrift store. (i like to collect found sound recordings-- sometimes there's some pretty weird stuff!) well, it turns out i found some guy's old tape recording involving him having sex while blasting some awful anne murray cover album. . . The recording is the post-sex dialogue, right after that final song fades out. . . At the end, the woman asks something like "are you going to get your tape recorder?" and the guy seems to become flustered, saying something like "i wasn't recording, it's off!" (i'm paraphrasing. ) i guess he thought she realised he was recording it or something. Anyways, after this, the recording is cut off. You can also hear a toilet flush, and some sort of "squeaky toy" noise during the recording. Recorded direct to soundcard, playing back the tape on a cheap hand-held cassette player. Edited w/ compression to reduce peaking.
