Was walking around and i heard this strange sound so i recorded it with my i phone.

Cars traffic city urban milano.

I was on my way to a meeting a few doors down from this intersection and there was some nice sounds happening, it's in the late morning and so people are hard at work and moving around and doing their thing. There's some cool door chimes, trucks, traffic, random conversations, etc.

Recorded next to a window, in a seventh floor, with traffic below, while it was raining hard.

This is a recording i took in my back yard on the 4th of july 2014. There are the sounds of crickets as neighborhood fireworks being set off faintly in the background sounding almost like a war zone. The house is off a busy street, so there is also some traffic sounds. Neighborhood dogs bark at the fireworks faintly in the background.

I heard a cricket in the bush and decided that that sound might be interesting in something. . . Recorded at ball state by a zoom recorder (by ajh).

Calm rain falling on a roof window, recorded from inside the house, 4th floor. Some cars passing by in the background, on a calm street in oslo. Stereo. Recorded with two røde nt3 at about 2 meters from the window. Used a software eq to remove -20db at around 80k, to remove small bass "thumps", other than that it's unprocessed. 256kbps mp3.

Bamboo in the backyard squawks like a frog and rustles its leaves in the wind. Obscured by low recording levels and traffic.

Train-crossing bells with traffic background, fairly loud. Train bell itself mixes in as train approaches (0:20->0:32), followed by train noise: wheels, brake squeals and compressor hiss.

Weirdly echoing seagull calls recorded from top floor window of a building near fort point area of south boston. Recording also features a lot of traffic noise (including police sirens) and some wind-based distortion.

We watched the stephen hawking show on pbs last night as they tried to filter out voices from space and i thought this would make a good alien voice trying to contact us. This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas. This is traffic outside my office on ventura boulevard, recorded in the lobby with the front door closed. The traffic is still fairly present, because there's a mail slot in the door which allows quite a bit of the sound through. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

I was looking for a sound that fitted a dance studio/recording studio reception area so i mixed a few sounds together and came up with this. It has traffic sounds, various bird sounds, indistinct chatter, a thumping bass in the background like in a room on the floor above and a harmony group practising somewhere else in the building. Could be useful for a radio play, movie scene or theatre play.
