A unique sound i recorded in bangkok whilst standing on a floating pier waiting for a boat. The pier is made of metal and the sound produced is the empty steel pier rubbing against the pylons with each wave of the river. You can also hear a boat motor as a ferry pulls up to the pier. Recorded with a tascam dr-05.
Interference is a interesting phenomenon. I blow a bass tone and add my own voice, first i adjust my voice to same wavelength as the instrument, then i change my voice linearily, and you can follow how you get a 3rd tone, which is either a+b or a-b.
Pride of the north country. Man vs weight, clean air vs black smoke, hearing vs permanent tinnitus. Whatever is used to describe that god forsaken noise, it's hardcore (country style).

An mg-b arriving, and the engine being turned off. Minimal editing in audacity to fade out to minimise background noise. Recorded with a marantz pmd-661 with built-in microphones, for a delicate balance, oxford theatre guild 2011.
