Recorded just after the clock struck midnight, signaling the beginning of 2023 in greenville, south carolina with a tascam dr-05 stereo recorder. Very nice clear recording with basically zero unwanted noises except for an occasional light water drip. Audio edited to perfection by me. ;) did some light eq, compression, limiting, and stereo balancing, as well as removing some of the constant ambient white noise hiss. A steady rain falls silently through the still december night air, then splatters all over the tile and cement surfaces of a back yard, splashing in standing water. Testing the sennheiser mke 2002 binaural microphones (circa 1973), playing bongos resting on my lap. The microphones are designed to be mounted either on a dummy head or - as i use them here - a user's own ears. Binaural recordings require headphones for full effect.
