Me squeezing a crumpled bag of doritos, recorded with an sm57 going into an m-audio mobilepre usb audio interface. I recorded this because i needed a good rubber stretching sound, but couldn't find one that looped well. When i crumpled the bag up to throw it away, i realized it kind of sounds like what i wanted, and with some eqing and clever layering i could get a sound that's pretty close to what i wanted. I've uploaded the final result under my "processed sounds" pack, but here are the raw sounds for you to use, completely unprocessed. I've left some silence/noise at the beginning/end of these so that you can easily remove the noise if you so choose.

This very happy bird-song was recorded in late winter/very early spring of 2012. It was a cold, partly sunny morning after a cold night, yet this red male cardinal was singing proud and loud. Recorded in a small town, with some traffic sounds in the back. Also, if you listen close enough you will hear some starlings in the background with their waking up chorus. Recorded using the handy/zoom h4n recorder and a samson c0-2 microphone mounted inside my home-built parabolic reflector.

A short, simple recording of a cardinal chirping in deep woods during a light rain. He gets closer toward the end of this 21 second recording---very simple, yet peaceful. I used by zoom h4n recorder and, my homemade parabolic dish in which i mounted my rode ntg-2 microphone in. . . . Kevin.

Ambience onboard the red funnel car ferry to the isle of wight. The ferry was busy and i don't think a single person was listening to the safety announcement. Olympus ls-5, built in mics, 25hz hpf.

Sounds of shaving cream being uncapped and then spread around facial hair.

Piano improvisation recorded with iphone 4s. It's all over the place and not everything sound nice, but maybe it's usable for someone:). I think it's mostely in g minor. This was recorded while on holiday in israel.

Simple noise rise created and edited on an old version of audacity, g-verbed and then reversed.

This sound is produced by hiting silver glass with hand.

808 drum sounds played through an orange amplifiers "micro crush" miniamp recorded for stereo ambiance in the original batcave. These work well as drum layers under more conventional sounds, and in other creative ways. Recording assisted by steve and mikro.
