The first sunday of may is the international dawn chorus day! on the 3rd of may 2020, artists and field recordists in different parts of the world recorded the birdsong around the time of the local sunrise, and then the sounds were put together in a synchronous collage. The sounds you hear in the recording at the same time happened at the same time, but not necessarily in the same place: for example, you can hear owls calling in the spanish night at almost the same time as kookaburras in the australian day. Raw sound of lips kisses. Used to make these noises many years ago during high school lessons when i was bored in the classroom. Didn't aim it at anyone - did these noises when noone was looking - and just before someone looked, i stopped and pretended like it wasn't me. People didn't get mad though, lots were smiling, and some couldn't hold it for long and bursted out in laughter. It was 1000x better irl - if you're still in school, you should try it out after corona's gone.
